Small Intimate Garden Wedding Photography in Fredericksburg, Virginia captured by Virginia Wedding Photographer Emily Farewell.

Small. Intimate. Peaceful. Gorgous. Fun. How many more adjectives can I use to describe this wedding. The couple got married in the brides mom garden. Mom has been working on the garden for 30 years, and you can see the love and dedication she put into her amazing oasis. I felt like I was in the book The Secret Garden. There was so much to photograph and capture, it was overwhelming in a good way. The bride got ready with her mother in the home so I captured a few getting ready images of the two of them.

The Groom and his family trickled in and we got everyone seated in perfect timing to begin the ceremony. The energy was full of love and laughter which you can clearly see in the memories I captured.

The ceremony was so intimate. The couple were clearly best friends and so excited to spend the rest of their lives together. The way the groom looked at his bride when she entered the space was heartwarming. Those images are truly some of my most favorite to capture. The small emotional moments that flutter quickly by.

After the ceremony, I gathered the couple together to get a few shots of them around the garden. Once finished, we toasted to the Married Couple and headed off to the reception at The Publisher Hotel in Downtown Fredericksburg Virginia.

The hotel was perfect for the couples celebration photos. It was classy and chic and had a very cool bar we had to use as a backdrop for a few shots. The family made me feel like family feeding me and making sure I had everything I needed. Small intimate weddings are so much fun to photograph and I cannot wait to shoot more!
