What a fantastic evening this was! I had the amazing oportunity to live paint guest portraits at America's Oldest Modern Art Museum!! The Phillips Collection in Washington DC had their New Year Holiday Celebration, and as appreciation for their support with the Museum, I painted them modern art style portraits. Similar to Henri Matisse just without faces.

The Phillips Collection was founded in 1921 by Art Collectors Duncan and Marjorie Acker Phillips. It is located in the Dupont Circle Neighborhood of Washington DC and houses paintings from Picasso, Matisse, Van Gogh, and Monet. I wasn't able to truly check out the museum as I was working, so I will definitely have to return and actually walk through the gallery to admire the work in there. Below are the finished pieces to one of my most favorite events thus far. I hope to do more portraits in this style in the future maybe at other art museums!
