Driving up to the venue, I knew this was going to be an epic wedding. The manor itself was stunning. Full of character and charm. The steps were rickety. The doors squeaked. It smelled of memories and laughter. I just loved it. Not only was the manor stunning, but so was the surrounding scenery! The views of the valley below. Horses. Gardens. Sunsets. In love. The couple picked out a gorgeous venue. If you would like to look more into booking the venue for your own wedding, check out their website here: https://www.rixeymanor.com.

I got to the venue an hour before my scheduled time. I always like to arrive early to get the feel of the venue and gather ideas for couples portraits. I started out taking details of the venue then met with Kathryn. Kathryn is a beautiful woman full of charisma and life! So easy to photograph and she had a blast being in front of my camera. After meeting, I gathered her dress and details for the flat lay and dress shot.

I met with the groom and groomsmen to do a few portraits before heading back over to ladies. We had fun with a few of their shots!

After I got some shots of the guys, I got to work capturing the details of the ladies!

The bride was doing a first look with her dad. Luckily, a window was tucked away above where I was having them positioned and I had the bridesmaids look out the window for a few shots. It was absolutely comical and emotional. The father read his card and later, mother read her card.

After the first look, I got shots of the bridesmaids and a couple of Kathryn herself. Now it was time to tuck away for the ceremony.

The ceremony was in a perfect location with the manor overlooking the couple and the valley embracing them both. It was a beautiful ceremony.

Now the party began. Speeches, toasts, dancing, food, fun.

I snuck the couple away to capture their portraits around sunset time. We walked around the manor and got a bunch of different poses and angles. They gave me a ton of time to get their portraits, which I suggest every bride and groom doing.

We ended the evening dancing some more and a sparkler exit. Everything was peak perfection for Kathryn and Jordons wedding.

After the wedding, as part of their package, I did an 11x14 watercolor portrait of one of the photos they chose. They picked out their favorite 3, and I liked the composition of this one for their painting. They loved it, as did I. Captures their spirit and the emotions of the day perfectly.
